ROLE: ART DIRECTOR | PRODUCTION DESIGNER | PHOTOGRAPHER
Starting with a blank slate can be one of the more daunting challenges a designer can face. As odd as it may sound, for many designers creativity can be stifled when the sky is the limit and the possibilities endless. The best exercise when faced with this is to look for the restrictions that are inherent to the project and see how they impact your ultimate goals.
In the case of this rebrand we knew that we wanted to print spot-color jewel-tones and a matte screen over a foil material, but were limited to a certain number of colors. Knowing that the rich, transparent inks over the foil material would provide the pop we were looking for, the design came together fairly easily. The result is a rebrand that speaks to the history of the Dead Sea and has generated an uptick in sales of what had been a struggling brand.
